Researchers used data from more than 22,800 participants enrolled under the Moli-Sani study, a cohort of the population who recruited men and women randomly between March 2005 and April 2015. For the 2019 study, The team followed the health status of the participants for about eight eight years. and compared that data with their eating habits. Italian researchers have found that those who regularly consume pepper peppers at least four times a week or more had a risk of dying of 40% to die of a heart attack than those who rarely ate them.
But researchers have not stopped looking for health benefits compared to cardiac crises. The results also found that people who eat chili peppers four times a week or more were also 60% less likely to die of cerebrovascular diseases such as cerebral compared to those who do not regularly eat these peppers.
Although researchers did not examine exactly why peppers could potentially have a positive impact on cardiac health, some experts believe that capsaicin, the active ingredient that gives Chilis their ardent heat could be the reason.
