The chemical is more commonly called BPA. Manufacturing companies started using it to create plastic in the 1960s. But it is still used in many plastic materials today. Many of them are favorites of the food industry as bottles of water, Tupperware and other plastics. It can also be used to "coat the inside of metal products, such as food cans, bottles trays and water supply lines," explains theMAYO Clinic.

However, in 2012 and 2013, FDA-modified regulations for polycarbonate resins based on BPA in some plastic products. These included baby bottles, softep cups, formula and other baby food containers. They did not do it because of security, however.
The amendments have been adopted because "this use has been permanent and completely abandoned",The FDA says. Exposure to BPA in born babies, infants and children can affect the prostate gland and the brain says the Mayo Clinic. However, research says there could be aBond between bpa and an increase in blood pressure in adults.
Doctors in Harvard Suggest that you should be careful about BPA consumption using less canned foods and opting for fresh products. Another advice is to buy objects without BPA such as bottles of water and containers. Avoid putting plastics in the microwave or the dishwasher "because the heat can break them over time and allow BPA to bind food," says the Mayo clinic. Finally, there are other materials that do not contain the most toxic thing in your refrigerator. Glass, stainless steel and porcelain are large alternatives.
