What happens in our body if we eat bread every day?
So what are the benefits of bread? Can we eat every day? What kind of bread choose? Here is everything you need to know.
Everyone loves bread! Universal and timeless food par excellence, it accompanies all the dishes and, for most of us, it is even indispensable for each meal. As a French people inventor of the famous baguette (often imitated, never equaled), we will not say the opposite! Yet, we often hear that the bread is growing and that we must not consume too much when, in reality, it has many nutritional qualities. Be careful however because all the breads, and especially all the flours, are not worth. Here's all you need to know about one of the most consumed foods in the world.
- Bread is source of nutrients and fibers
The bread is first rich in complex carbohydrates, so-called slow sugars, which allow to have a feeling of satiety and slowly release the energy into the body. In addition, it guarantees a mineral, magnesium and potassium intake, but also in vitamins of group B. Finally, especially if it is complete, bread is an important source of fibers that help in particular the good digestion and operation of the intestinal flora.
- Bread is poor in fat
The (good) bread contains few lipids in general and therefore remains poor in fat. Some special breads can however be richer according to their content, such as olive bread, nuts, dried fruits or bacon (yum!).
- Bread does not make you fat
Unlike popular ideas, bread is not getting bigger. Like any food, the important thing is not to abuse and consume it as part of a healthy and balanced diet. It is important to alternate it with other starchy starchy and foods rich in slow sugars, such as pasta or lentils.
- We can eat bread every day
The bread can therefore be eaten every day and there is no maximum amount to respect. It all depends on the diet, metabolism and physical activity of the person. A great sportsman can quietly eat half a baguette at breakfast for example.
- We can eat bread even at night
One can eat bread regularly, even in the evening, to accompany a balanced meal and also avoid the risk of nocturnal crawling. Again, everything is a question of dosage.
- What kind of bread choose?
It is important to know how to choose your bread. If we can avoid the white bread of the supermarket already it is better: it goes from either that the artisanal bread is better and healthier. Then, it is necessary to privilege the complete bread, higher than the qualitative and nutritional level. The country bread for example is excellent because it contains different types of flour and cereal, limiting the amount of gluten: wheat, rye, barley or oats. Another recommendation: Take a leaven bread that digests better than classic yeast bread. Finally, if there is a type of bread to banish your shopping list, it's the bread of Mie: too rich in sugars, greases and even vegetable oil (palm oil type). You are ready for your future passage at the baker!
