The way to the top career

Michaela Chaloupková was born in 1975 in Pilsen. In 1999, she successfully completed the Faculty of Law of the University of West Bohemia in her hometown and then completed her education in the United States, where she won the MBA at the University of Pittsburgh in 2007. After completing her studies, she joined the law firm as a junior and began to focus on the world of finance shortly afterwards. She worked for two years for securities, specifically for Strateo Invest.

However, the turning point in her career occurred in 2003, when she started cooperation with the Czech Colossus CEZ as a business officer of the purchase. In this important company, Chaloupková did more than well, and soon she developed as a director of the central shopping unit for the whole group. Another career milestone in 2010 was her appointment to the Board of Cez as the only woman. 4 years later, she began to head the section of human resources.

Chaloupková is known for promoting social responsibility and sustainable development in society. These activities are in charge of Chief Sustainability Officer. In 2016, Chaloupková came up with a relatively revolutionary strategy for the sustainable development of CEZ with the designation of the energy for the future, which is still governed by the group.

In the joint -stock company CEZ, Chaloupková is now responsible for the purchase of all services and material needed for the construction, operation and constant maintenance of power plants and distribution networks, coal mining and for the overall functioning of CEZ Group, including public procurement worth several tens of billion crowns per year. For example, he is currently responsible for all negotiations on the completion of the Temelín nuclear power plant. Her competence also includes managing personnel affairs throughout society and, as already mentioned, great emphasis is on diversity and inclusion.

She first appeared on the list of the most influential women of the Czech Republic in 2012, when she took 25th place. Since then, it has been in the ranking with iron regularity and gradually climbed last year's 6th place. In the last few years, it has also been increasingly devoted to coaching and mentoring. They try to promote women not only in common positions in companies, but also seek talents that can become important managers capable of driving large companies.

Michaela Chaloupková is happily married and has three children, two older sons and a three -year -old daughter. Her biggest hobbies besides work are especially sport. In winter he devotes himself to downhill skiing and cross -country skiing, and in summer she likes to ride a bike. In addition, he regularly practices yoga and runs.
