About 142,000 units are drawn due to a risk of potential fire.

Find the right emptiness for Keep your house clean Maybe more complicated than it seems. The apparently infinite number of options on the market can make respect for the budget difficult while obtaining a model that works well. But if you have recently upgraded your household appliances, you may want to take note of it: managers warn that vacuum cleaners sold in popular stores, including Walmart and Target, have been recalled on a serious security problem.

On February 1, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that Bissell was Recalling several versions of its "hand vacuums and multi-levy soil". The affected models are 1985, 19851, 19859, 1985t, 2151, 21512, 21513, 21517, 21518, 21519, 2151A, 2151T, 2151W and 2151V, and articles numbers can be printed at the back of the dirt tank product. They also "multi-ported" printed on the portable part of the vacuum cleaner.

This decision affects around 142,000 units sold nationally in the United States in retailers, including Walmart, Target, Lowe's, Macy's, Kohl's and Best Buy, as well as in line via retailers such as Amazon, the sales network at home and bissell directly. Assigned items cost $ 110 and $ 270 and have been sold in different colors from August 2016 to December 2022.

According to the CPSC bulletin, 17 cases were reported from the "smoking and emitting a burning odor". In six of the incidents, the battery caught fire, including three fires that caused home damage and two that caused "minor burns injuries".

The agency warns that all customers who may have bought the recalled vacuum cleaners should "immediately stop using them". They should also contact Bissell for more information on how to fully exhaust the batteries and receive a free replacement vacuum.

The opinion specifies that anyone who has one of the recalled vacuum cleaners should not throw his batteries directly into the waste or drop them off in battery recycling boxes in stores or in public. Instead, they must follow state and local orders for the elimination of damaged or defective lithium batteries.

The CPSC directs all customers with questions on the Bissell reminder website. They can also reach the company by phone or by e-mail contacts published on the notice.

It is not the only recent body of home items market due to security risks. On January 18, the CPSC announced that House design Recalled more than half a million standard beds and padded low profile platform sold online via Wayfair, Walmart and Overstock. The company said it made its decision after receiving more than 100 reports on beds due to defective slats, not only making them uncomfortable, but also creating a serious risk of fall.
