The retailer has tested sensory hours in stores earlier this year.
This is not the first time that Walmart has been trying this. As part of his return to school initiative, the retailer tested sensory hours for the first time in July and August, according to a previous July Press release . But the special purchasing experience did not take place until Saturday morning during these two months, and not all stores were included.
"Earlier this year, we took a step to make purchases in our stores more inclusive for people with sensory handicaps by taking measures to create a less stimulating environment for a few hours every Saturday," Walmart said in its press release November. "During the return to school season, we changed the walls of television into a static image, turned off the radio and lowered the lights as much as possible." AE0FCC31AE342FD3A1346EBB1F342FCB

Walmart said there was no end scheduled date now.
The Walmart initial test during the return to school season is what prompted the retailer to extend these sensory hours to all stores.
"The comments of the pilot program were extremely positive. These changes may have seemed small for some, but for others, they transformed the shopping experience," Walmart said in his new version. "Our biggest comment? Continue!"
The retailer also reports sensory hours without delay without the delay. Once they started on November 10, Walmart said that there was currently "no planned end date," said the press release.
"We like to be part of a team that can help create a culture where everyone feels they belong," said Walmart. "Belonging seems different for each person, but when we listen to and appreciate everyone's perspectives, a thoughtful change can occur."
The retailer added: "We continue to welcome comments on how we can improve these sensory measures in our stores. Our mission is to help families save money so that they can live better, and we will continue to take action to keep this promise for all those who go through our doors. "
Experts say that sensory hours are an intelligent commercial decision.
Walmart joins an increasing number of retailers and entertainment places that adapt their spaces to contact consumer needs , Reported CNN. And Burt Flickinger , Retail expert and managing director of the Strategic Resource Group Detail Consulting Services, told The News Outlet that this change is an intelligent commercial decision for the company.
"At a time when discounters are in competition more aggressively with the dollars of consumers, Walmart builds not only good will with its buyers, but these changes could also bring more buyers in its stores and keep them To do longer, "said Flickinger.
The morning deadline is also a good choice for buyers who can have special requirements because "this is not the busiest period of the day for Walmart stores", according to Flickinger. "The busiest times tend to be from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. after school, on the way back to work, or Sunday evening," he noted.
