TSA issues a new alert on what you cannot take in terms of security
Keep these advice in mind this week in particular, the agency warned in a new press release.
The holiday season is fast approaching, with Thanksgiving and December celebrations at the corner of the street. But before preparing our turkeys and cutting the tree, we have to complete the frightening season - and you could travel for a Halloween bash or a festive fall getaway. If you plan to put a costume during your travels, the Transport security administration (TSA) has some tips to share with you. Read the rest to find out which costume components and Halloween staples cannot accompany you through security.

The agency wants to keep the holidays fun and safe.
In a press release on October 27, TSA shared some key warnings Before Halloween , but also noted that they were not trying to spoil your pleasure. AE0FCC31AE342FD3A1346EBB1F342FCB
"Despite TSA security practices, costume passengers do not have to worry about stifling their holiday spirit," the statement said. "The TSA officers will project all the dressed travelers openly books, but keep in mind that we will always hay all the prohibited items."
To save you time, you and your passenger colleagues at the airport reported items that cannot go through security, as well as what you need to find out if you really travel in costume.

Store certain accessories in checkered luggage.
If your costume is particularly frightening, it could include apparently sinister accessories. However, everything that looks like a weapon could make you signal security, even if it is false.
"A costume accessory is strange but seistible but false (or real) knives, axes, forks, light sabers, brooms, swords and sypthes must be placed in checkered baggage," said the press release the agency. "Never bring explosive replicas, including grenades, bombs or rocket launchers, because they are all prohibited items in hand and checkered bags."
In the press release, TSA shared photos of recently confiscated articles, including SAI swords - which are popular with ninja teenage turtle costumes - which have been removed from hand luggage earlier this year. A replica of the hand grenade was also removed from the hand baggage of a traveler, just like a false belt lined with bullets.

Liquid rules also apply.
During the rush and the excitement of the holidays, it is easy to forget some of the rules that we generally follow. However, the TSA stressed that the 3-1-1 rule always applies to "potions and lotions at home".
"This means that if you travel with a liquid, gel, cream, paste or lotion (including false blood), each item can only be 3.4 ounces or less and must adapt in a Plastic liter size bag if it is transported by a security checkpoint, "explains the release. "If you can overturn it, spray, spread it, pump or pour it, the rule applies. Larger quantities of liquids must be packed in a checkered bag."
This also applies to candies in liquid form, but if you travel with solid parts and the size of a bite for towers or triage, you are ready to pass. The TSA simply asks you to remove all the big bags from your hand baggage so that the officers "can easily identify that it is not something more sinister than sweet candies".

Capes and masks are correct in your hand luggage.
When you make your way through the control point, leave any type of mask in your hand luggage so that the TSA agents can identify you correctly. The agency added that you should wait to apply complete makeup for the same reason.
"If your Halloween costume includes a mask, it is best not to wear it through security," the statement said. "Passengers carrying masks at the checkpoint will be invited to withdraw it so that the TSA officers can identify them properly. The masks are good when they are placed in hand luggage and can be given after having passed the point control."
While you are there, store all kinds of cape inspired by Batman or Dracula in your hand luggage.
"A superhero without cape often spends a disaster, but when passing a security checkpoint, please place the capes in hand luggage or a tank until the screening process is finished," said the press release. "A CAP could trigger an alarm in the body scanner, which leads to a longer security process."
The policy on Jack-O'-Lantern could surprise you.
Although the TSA does not recommend "juggle a jack-o-lantern through security", the agency allows it. The decorated and sculpted pumpkins can accompany you via a security checkpoint, as long as they are stored in hand luggage.
Again, it is important to note that other pumpkin products - such as liquid pumpkin spices and pumpkin butters that are creamy or spread - can only have 3.4 ounces and must be placed in a bag Ressable liquid. Everything that is larger than it should be in verified luggage.
