1 Opt for a neutral or jewel hue.
When someone is planning a fall wedding, they probably have a particularly warm vision of the event in mind. Help them achieve this by choosing a dress in a matching color. Jewel tones are a good choice.
Megan Nova , author at AwesomeBride , recommends sage, burgundy, navy blue and forest green. "With these colors, you'll reflect popular colors in the fall, while looking gorgeous," she notes. Gold jewelry looks stunning with these hues.
Another option is a cozy neutral, such as green, mustard or gold. “Green captures the deep richness of fall leaves, while mustard introduces a warm, cozy hue to the cooler season,” explains personal stylist Stefaniya Veresovaya . "Gold effortlessly adds a touch of glamour, ensuring any dress stands out beautifully on a special occasion."

2 Consider a moody floral.

"During the cooler months, try swapping springtime pastels for jewel tones alongside moody floral prints," says Nova. "While I find the sheer prints ideal for a fall wedding, just make sure you don't draw attention."
To do this, keep your flowers on a smaller scale. Or, if the print is larger, make sure the contrast between the colors of the dress is lower. This way your outfit is not too flashy.

3 Stay warm with a blazer or shawl.
As the temperature drops, one of our biggest conundrums is what type of jacket to wear, especially at formal events. Veresovaya opt for a blazer .
"Not only is a blazer undeniably smart and stylish, but it also complements any monochromatic dress perfectly," she says. "Given the range of styles available, from oversized cuts to more fitted looks, there is a blazer to suit every individual." You can choose something sleek or with funky accents that match the look of your dress.
A shawl will also do the trick. "They provide the right coverage," says Nova. And you can remove them easily to take pictures.

4 Or a dress in a thicker material.
Another way to stay warm is to choose a dress in a heavier material, such as satin, jacquard or velvet.
“Satin is a great fabric…for a semi-formal or formal wedding,” says Nova. "But remember a satin dress can sometimes look a little too sexy, so when shopping for a wedding I prefer a midi length or something that has sleeves to make sure it's appropriate."
Then there's velvet, one of Nova's favorite fall fabrics. "Not only do I find it warm, but also gorgeous without overshadowing the bride," she says.
Finally, jacquard is an excellent structured material that will not cling to your body in the event of static electricity in the event of a fall.

5 Add a metallic shoe.
You don't have to buy a new shoe for every fall wedding. "If you're looking to buy a shoe for multiple fall wedding outfits, I'd recommend a gold or silver pair, which have become new fall wedding classics of the year," she says. "They're versatile, pair with a variety of colors, and add a touch of glamor to any outfit."
Wear jewelry the same color as your chosen shoe and your outfit is good to go.
