"Screaming" Family Fight bursts of offer for a free Disney World trip

"I would pay for their flights, their hotel and their park tickets," said the man about his offer to his sister-in-law.

A free trip is a free trip, right? Generous offer from a man to his sister-in-law's family for a free Disney World Trip turned into a bad family quarrel after accused of being "cheap" for putting your family in a different hotel .

"This summer, I take my family to Disney World," wrote Reddit User SAFE_AD_6111. "We are going to stay in one of the seaside resorts of the property. My sister-in-law and his family had trouble during the pandemic, so I decided to do something nice and invite them. My treat."

The family vacationer said that he had accumulated enough hotel and airline points to cover the majority of the trip and that he offered free flights with an extended family of his wife, Disney Park tickets , and their own hotel room in a district called Disney Springs. When he became clear that his family would remain elsewhere and not in the same hotel as his own family, the plans for a happy family vacation quickly turned into a nightmare. "Apparently, I am cheap using points for their hotel instead of simply paying so that they stay in the same station as us," he continued in the wire. "They told my parents-in-law that I made their children jealous by not letting them enjoy the same things as us."

According to the official Disney website, Disney Springs is a "themed catering and entertainment center" belonging to Disney and located close Disney World theme parks, but it's not a theme park itself. Disney does not have hotels in the region , they therefore lack some of the advantages on site that Disney has access, such as transport between themed parks.

After his wife said to his sister and brother-in-law " Stfu and accept the gift, "they refused, The man gave them the choice to accept the trip where he could completely cancel the reservations. This turned into a brand new family quarrel.

"They started to shout me to ... remove something from their children," he continued in the wire. "I had told them like adults, but when they started screaming, their children heard them and discovered that they may not go. Now, their children are annoyed against their parents to perhaps [ruin] their vacation."

The Reddit user asked if he was wrong to potentially ruin the family holidays and make his parents-in-law "bad in front of their children".

"You offer them plane tickets, park tickets and a beautiful hotel and they demand more?" A user responded. "Cancel their tickets. Immediately."

Some have suggested that Disney holidaymakers cancel tickets for parents-in-law but take their children instead. "If the children are old enough to know that their parents are those who destroy the holidays, they are old enough to come without mom and dad and spend a vacation with their cousins," wrote a user.

Others have said that canceling it all the trip would teach the other family that "this life is difficult when you are a ** hole".

The message has not been updated with any resolution for the family fight, but most commentators replied that the travel planner was not an idiot for what had happened. Some also had to take their own families to go to the place of his sister-in-law's family.

"I am not even a Disney person," replied another user, "but if someone offered me and my family free vacation, I would not nose it."
