7 new facts on the set of "Rust" by Alec Baldwin released by prosecutors

A new affidavit of probable cause explains exactly why the prosecutors believe that the actor is responsible for the death of Halyna Hutchins.


On Tuesday, Alec Baldwin was officially accused of manslaughter in the death of the director of photography Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust , facing 18 months in prison if he is convicted, plus a potential five -year improvement for the use of a firearm.

The pistol that killed Hutchins should only have been loaded with dummy bullets. However, there was a live tour in the pistol, allegedly charged by Hannah Reed Gutierrez, the gunsmith of the film, which faces identical accusations. According to the prosecution, this is one of the many faux pas responsible for the death of Hutchins.

Baldwin did not need to shoot a real pistol during rehearsals, indicates the document

According to Gutierrez-Reed, Baldwin was to take a training session on the manipulation of weapons for at least an hour. However, after 30 minutes, it ended because Baldwin "was distracted and spoke on his mobile phone to his family during the training."

From the shooting, Baldwin has insisted that he did not rely on the relaxation. However, an FBI analysis revealed that the pistol was operating normally.
