The doors were one of the most important groups of the 1960s and the 1970s, but their time together was shorter than you think. The group has only existed for eight years, their career receiving two years after the tragic death of the main singerJim Morrison In 1971. After the death of Morrison, Krieger and Densmore began the Butts Band in 1973. The group released two albums and dissolved in 1975. In 1978, the three remaining members of the doors met and leftAn American prayer, in which they defined recordings of the poetry of Morrison's word to music.

Krieger continued to get out of solo music.

After the Butts group, Densmore was involved in the theater as an actor, musician, writer and producer. He also started the Tribaljazz group.
