I wear a hat every day and here's why you should also

Lori plays, a self-profware hat lover and founder of the meetings appChecksaidBetter lifeWhy she could never live without his vast collection of hat - and why everyone should turn to hats to strengthen their wardrobe and their sense of adventure.
If you have traveled through my old photo albums, the first thing you would probably notice is that I wear lots of hats. Throughout the years, I will appear wearing the hats of my grandmother, my baseball caps of my older brother and fun cowboy hats. The two grandmothers were full Fashionistas and I have always been inspired by their style. Although they are both spent, I continue to wear some of their most fabulous accessories to date.
As for my wardrobe, hats are probably the thing I have invested most in all my life. A hat candress just about any outfit-And I often feel like a whole is not quite complete without one. I have these crazy hair that sometimes become a little undisciplined, so I will often drop a hat and get out of the door.
About 10 years ago, I walked through Soho when I spotted the most beautiful black fur hat with a black bow inside the Emporio Armani store. The store had just shut down and I remember thinking that I do not care how much this hat cost - it had to be mine. It looks like it could have been any right ofBreakfast at Tiffany's. The next morning, I told my boss that I was going to be late at work and I waited outside the store until he opened. Minutes later, this hat of $ 1,600 was mine. This is my favorite purchase of my life. People stop me in the street in this hat. I metBruce Willis ToA bar wearing this hat. (He sent me a bottle of champagne!) Hats like this one sparked so many conversations with strangers and I made several friends because of them.
I found my other favorite hat seven years ago in a vintage store in Brooklyn. It is a gray felt fedora with a huge brown feather. I feel straight out of the 1940s when I wear this hat. When hats are not already detailed as this one, I sometimes embrace them with pins, pompoms, gems and feathers, to help them match my weird style.
I am an entrepreneur and I live on a tight budget in New York, but the hats are the only thing I'm going to make madness. I can not even welcome all my collection to my apartment. I have nearly 100 vintage hats and three cowboys hats stored in my parents' house in Kentucky and in a storage rental in Brooklyn - and I managed to store about 50 in my apartment in New YORK.
Raised in Kentucky, I always went toDerby Kentucky (My favorite day of the year) and for 16 years, I have welcomed one of Kentucky Derby's greatest festivals in New York. Every year requires a new fabulous derby hat and I am always full. I even started making mini fascinators myself.
The hats gave me such a feeling of adventure over the years that I do not recommend them enough. In addition to covering a bad hair day, they can turn any outfit - and maybe even your attitude - in a fraction of a second!
