Nearly half of the Americans will not go out with someone who does it

There are innumerable topics to discuss on a first date, but the temperature preference is usually not at the top of this list. However, for many people, the thermostat label can do or break a relationship - according to a recent study, at least. In an investigation conducted by an ONEPOLL in conjunction withResidential tray, 48% of respondents said they would not get away if they did not share the same thing"Thermostat label" like them.

Having a tendency to transform the dial dramatically or down can not look like another sandstone in the big scheme of things, but much of the respondents have indeed found in a stalemate on the temperature in the past. In fact, 44% have been recalled in an argument on the thermostat at some point.

So, if you are friends or in a relationship with someone who works much warmer or cooler than you, you may want to think twice before adjusting the thermostat in your shared space. The study also found that 25% of the Americans surveyed actuallyfinished a friendship on a thermostat argument. With summer debut and temperatures climbing higher, couples and roommates can be found on air conditioning.

The temperature seems to be strangely linked to human pride, which can explain the frequency of arguments surrounding thermostats. The survey determined that 67% of people are convinced that they can beat the heat without air conditioner, and they are rarely correct: the average American will be undergoing five instant nights in the heat before turning the AC.
