"Levar Burton inspired and shaped the spirit of several generations of trivial nerds", reads the petition. "This petition is to show Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc. and producersMike Richards andHarry Friedman how much love the public has for Burton and how much we would like to see it as the next host ofDanger!"
So far, the petition has more than 86,800 signatures on the 150,000, it is requested - and it has been created only six days. The signs of petition have left all kinds of kind messages on Burton, with a saying that says he "was born to do [the] show" and another says they "can not think of any better successor of the end Alex Trebek ".
The petition has become so widespread that evenBurton himself saw him. On November 12, the actor tweeted: "Even if nothing comes from that, I can not say how much I appreciate everything you love love and support!"
