If you live here, get ready to see more Wasps this summer, experts warn

Fifteen states can be submitted to more than these "massive" wasps in the coming months.

Although bees, wasps and hornets of all kinds tend to make an appearance every summer, you can see even more this year. With theBrood x cigalas emerging In 15 states for the first time in 17 years, a crowd ofAdverse Crats make appearances to gobble on crunchy bugs. The billions of cicadas should draw more wasps called "killers of the Cicada" as they feast on their source of choice.

Cicada Killer WASPS looks similar tomurder But are more "light", explainsCertified entity Natasha Wright. These wasps emerge from the basement in summer to feed on Cicadas and start dying in the fall. Although they are usually not aggressive, they sting when they are disturbed and "their massive size would be equivalent to a massive injury of puncture," says Wright.

But the actual damage that these wasps are likely to create is in your yard. The wasps of the cicada killer dig long and disordered burrows in the ground. To attempt to prevent them from spoiling your grass, Wright suggests a supervision and watering bare patches to encourage grass and vegetation growth, which will make the area less desirable for wasps for nesting.
