I love sipping iced tea and lemonade, so I thought we should raise the classic combo a notch in honor of the National Heritage Month of Bourbon. It's my grip on a Boozy Arnold Palmer.

Ingredients:

  • 12 ozMakers Mark Bourbon
  • 2 cups of boiling water
  • 8 ozHoney syrup
  • 3 PEKOE Orange tea bags
  • 6 black tea bags
  • 2 cups of fresh lemonade
  • Ice
  • Gross sugar for edge
  • Sprigs with fresh mint and slices of orange for the garnish

Instructions:

To infuse Bourbon:

Place 3 orange Peko tea bags in a large mason jar or container with a lid. Pour Bourbon in and close the lid. Raid in the refrigerator for 24 hours.

Cocktail

Pour boiling water over black tea bags in a heat and steep container for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and discard. Pour the tea base into a hot pitcher or a server jar. Add the honey syrup and mix well. Add the lemonade, ice and bourbon. Mix well and refrigerate until serve. To serve, pour into a glass of height filled with ice cream or an old glass. Rub a bird stuck around the glass then RIM with brown sugar. Garnish with slices of mint and orange. (* Add more honey syrup to taste.)Serves 8.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Malbec bottle
  • ½ cup of bourbon
  • 1 diced apple
  • 1 Mandarin orange box
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • ½ cup of sprite

Instructions:

Remove the fruit in the bottom of a large pitcher. Add the cinnamon stick. Pour the wine on the fruit, then add the bourbon and stir. Refrigerate for 3 hours to 3 days. When ready to serve, pour into a glass filled with ice and high with sprite.Serves 6.

Ingèdients:

  • 1 1/2 Oz Makers Mark Bourbon
  • 2 dashes of hot sauce
  • 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 C. TSP Wasabi
  • Tomato juice
  • 1 corner of lime
  • Celery salt

Instructions:

Rub the corner of the lime around the edge of a pint glass and a coat with celery salt. Fill with ice and add 2 healing salt dashes and remaining ingredients except tomato juice. Fill with tomato juice and mix well. Garnish with a stem of celery, olives in lime and blue olives in cheese plush.Serves 1.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cube of sugar
  • 2 dashes angostura bitters
  • 2 ounces Bourbon or Rye
  • Twist orange, no fluffy

Instructions:

In a glass of short old rocks, confuse sugar, bitter and a warm water spoon until sugar. Add rye or bourbon and stir. Add a big cube of ice. Turn the orange skin to release the oils and run around the edge of the glass, then drop the twist in the glass and enjoy.

Sour bourbon

"You can never go wrong with a classic sour whiskey. Of all those I tried is a person here is my favorite interpretation!

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz bulleit bourbon
  • Freshly squeezed lemon juice of ¾ oz
  • Lime juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup (see below for the recipe)
  • 1 white egg
  • Mastery

Recipe for simple syrup:

Simple syrup: 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water in a small saucepan and cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Cool carefully before using.

Instructions:

In a cocktail shaker, add the egg white, bourbon, lemon juice and simple syrup and shake dry to emulsify the egg. Add ice, then make a second shake. Double-strain on a glass of rocks filled with ice cream. (It is important to double flexibility so you get the right liquid foam ratio.) Garnish with a cherry of Maraschino and an Angostora shot splash.Serves 1.
