You will need

1 bag (16oz) onions frozen pearls
3/4 cup of water
White or red wine vinegar 3/4
1/4 cup of sugar
Pinch of red pepper flakes
Black salt and pepper

How to do it

  1. Combine onions, water, vinegar, sugar and pepper flakes in a medium saucepan.
  2. Place on medium-weak heat, lid and cooling for 10 minutes. Remove the lid and cook for another 10 minutes until the liquid has decreased and starts clinging to onions.
  3. Onions should be tender but do not fall apart. Season with salt and pepper.
