Coffee convinced does work of your brain? A new MRI study reveals even more specific advantages.
If you are aCoffee Drinking, you are probably agreeing to say that nothing offers your alarm clock better than a hot java cup. Now, a new exciting study has monitoredcerebral activity To discover that coffee affects brain connectivity in different ways that have never been examined closely before.
Neuro-radiologist Nuno Sousa, President of the University of Medicine at the University of Portugal de Minho, led the study, which was sponsored by the Institute of Scientific Information on Coffee and just published inMolecular psychiatry. Sousa and his research team used a functional magnetic resonance imaging, or the FMRI, to monitor the blood flow of the brain and the activation of the neuron among a group of coffee drinkers compared to a group of non-cafes drinkers In three states: resting, perform a task, and just after drinking a cup of coffee.
"This is the first time that the effect of coffee drinking regularly on our brain network [was] studied with this level of detail", written in the study.

As a result, Sousa and his team discovered that there was indeed a link between the drinking coffee and "a more efficient and beneficial model of engine control and vigilance connections".In other words, if you feel more alert and "with it" once you have had your morning coffee, this study confirmed that the drink has these effects on your brain.
In addition, researchers also found a dynamic activity in several areas of the brain indicating that coffee can increase the ability to learn and focus, as well as process and storage memories.
That said, another link that the researchers found - it may be less surprising - is what past studies have also shown: some brains of the study participants presented a higher degree of stress after drinking Coffee.
The study did not seem to investigate coffee or simply caffeine, which issued these benefits ... But for the loyalists of coffee, does it still intend that? If you have to have a shock this morning, be sure to readThe worst types of coffee for cardiac health, science says.
