Each job is delivered with its share of difficulties and challenges, whether it is a hot-header, Pushy customers or severe scratches. But despite these circumstances, an average employee never expects to be trapped in a life or death situation to do his job. These things are just part of a job description after all.

In the northern region of Oregon, Jacob, a 22-year-old truck driver, explained on what he supposed was a routine delivery, only to face a serious danger. Soon, he struggled for his life, however, he refused to compromise the special delivery, even if it could have saved him. They say that big jobs generally go to men who prove their ability to overcome small. This is the story of this man named, Jacob Cartwright.

Meet jacob

Jacob Cartwright, 22, was an original town of Portland, Oregon. As a child, he was not much in academics, but he was a hell of a sportsman. After graduating, he worked most of his life as a cross-country trucker. His job kept him moving, always on the road. As a result, nothing in his life did not feel redundant. Long routes could disturb any other person but not Jacob. He liked to be on the road, in addition to living alone, so there was not much to do at home anyway.

Be alone

Jacob lived in a two-storey house. Being a single child, he knew how to be alone for the most part. He was used to coming back to an empty house at the end of a long day. His house was long and narrow like a giant shoe box. Its windows framed in wood, once yellow, were now dirty with the dirt of the city. He usually kept them opening at night to leave the cool breeze inside his usually hot home. He was happy with the way things were going, which is not something many people that his age can say.

Family life

It is said that the priorities of a person change when he has a family to take care of. Jacob was not an exception. Things started changing for him when he married Devon and became the father of two beautiful children. The endless itineraries that kept him on the road kept him away from his family. Although he loved to be on the road, he loved his family and wanted to be around his wife and his children.

The time to change

Jacob started his search for a new job. It crosses a more local driving job in small transport trees. The owner admired his family priorities and decided to hire him. Jacob did not take too long to impress his boss with his work and dedication. He built a relationship of trust and loyalty with his work. As a result, his boss did not take too much time to assign greater tasks.

Task

It was the first week of January when Jacob was invited to cross the Oregon, Portland to the small town of Nyssa. It was his first big task and he was delighted that his boss trusted him. He went to his truck that was in charge of cartons. Once the workers are completed, Jacob saw that his truck was loaded at the top and compared completely. Cartons, however, were very light. Jacob was confused on what could be inside them but does not attack thinking.

The trip

The snow fell continually for a moment, which means that Oregon roads were already mocking snow. Jacob had not even started his trip yet. He stood outside his truck, his pale breath against his face. He knew he will face difficulties in driving the truck, it will soon be dark and the roads will be slippery. But that seemed to make feasible. He called his wife before leaving, telling him that he will be at home later than usual. Little first is what this is to wear it.
