Be in Sunday pasta or Friday night pizza the Italian cuisine is present in our day-to-day life. Check out some of the dishes that are already as consumed in the Brazilian menus that we can already call ours.
Pizza
It deceives who you think the most famous dish in the world is equal to 5 continents. The pizza has numerous varieties within Italy itself. Some regions have the very thin and completely different dough than ours. The pizza that most resembles the Brazilian would be Napolitana, who has a little higher border and is worldwide known as the famous 'Marguerita'.
Pasta with Bolognese sauce
Despite the name that says originating from Bologna you can not find this dish in Italian lands. Strange, no? This costume of spaghetti to the ragu sauce has won many cooks worldwide, but in Italy the dish is a bit different. Known as 'tagliatelle ragu', there he is made with fresh tagliatelle mass and no spaghetti. In the sauce, veal may be used, pig and even rabbit and in Brazil, we use the simple ground beef. And the most amazing is that in Italy this is known as a laborious dish because tomato sauce needs hours to cook along with the meat. Meanwhile, in Brazil, this traditionally is a quick and practical dish, made with ready sauce.
Lasagna
The original Italian lasagna can check to have 7 layers divided between sauce and mass. In Brazil, we have a custom to buy it frozen and warm it in the oven. Much more practical, is not it? There is a lot of forms and differences when it comes to the filling, but the traditional we call bolognese is made with ground beef, tomato sauce and lots of cheese. Once again, Bolognese sauce in place of ragu. You can also find lasagna with white sauce, pesto and even with chicken filling. Variations are diverse and cross borders.
Ice cream
Whether in Europe, Asia or in America when speaking of Italian food, we soon think of a delicious 'gelataria', since the Italian 'gelatto' is known in everyone. Even the bark itself in cone formed, which we call 'cone' also has proven origin in Italy. The flavors are the most diverse, but the texture is one: creamy and milk and fruit. One thing is right, no one resists a well-done ice cream, no matter the season, whether winter or summer.
Cappuccino
The Italians, like us, are lovers of coffee and that we drank daily and nor do we notice the familiarity of the European name. But as well as other dishes, this combination that looks simple with espresso in milk and cream of vaporized milk also could not escape our Brazilian touch. In Italy there is no habit of adding chocolate and nor the famous cinnamon. And the drink is consumed only at breakfast, since the Italians believe that it would be overly caloric to ingest after lunch.
Milanese steak
We can easily sit in a restaurant for lunch at Avenida Paulista and imagine us in Milan eating exactly the same dish, but what differes are the accompaniments. The steak in Milanese in Italy is accompanied by salad and served as the second plate, usually after a mass of entry. Already in Brazil, we ate with rice, beans, salad and we even have the option of steak to parmegiana, where we add tomato sauce and cheese, also inspired by an Italian dish, the 'Melanzane Alla Parmigiana', Which in the steak place receives slices of eggplant. Very different and appetizing!
Some are equal and some have adaptations, but these dishes are already inserted in our culture and we can find them worldwide in Italian restaurant, from which they originate.
