Ukrainian stars talked about nightmares after plastic surgery: what they experienced is shocking

Our celebrities willingly admit to the cosmetic interventions they resort to for the sake of beauty and youth, but much less often talk about mistakes, fears and disappointments, which are often hidden behind perfect selfies.

Plastic surgery in Ukraine has long ceased to be a topic that is embarrassing to talk about. Our celebrities willingly admit to the cosmetic interventions they resort to for the sake of beauty and youth, but much less often talk about mistakes, fears and disappointments, which are often hidden behind perfect selfies. But despite the brilliance of the stage and the pathos of Instagram shots, the path "to the best version of yourself" sometimes turns out to be painful, expensive and not at all as rosy as it seems. We have collected several candid stories of famous Ukrainian women who have survived unsuccessful operations and honestly told about their experience.

Dasha Kvitkova

The popular blogger admits that she didn't particularly care about her nose, which was broken in childhood, before she became famous. But after a wave of harsh hate in social networks, she gave up and went to the star surgeon - at that time the husband of the singer Slava Kaminska. The doctor assured that the shape of the nose will remain practically the same.

But the reality turned out to be different. "For half a year I looked in the mirror and did not recognize myself. I constantly wondered why I agreed to this," Dasha recalls. And although over time she got used to the new face, the old problem soon returned: asymmetry of the nostrils and a characteristic "dimple" appeared.

When Kvitkova tried to make an appointment for correction, the clinic only shrugged their shoulders: they said that the surgeon had gone abroad. "I paid and wanted normal treatment. I paid and didn't get what I wanted," says the blogger.

Olya Tsybulska

The singer and TV presenter was convinced by her own experience that Botox is not suitable for everyone, even if the cosmetologist assures the opposite. In 2019, she decided to "mute" the wrinkles on the forehead and received an unexpected bonus - sharply raised eyebrows.

"The beautician said: this is a fashionable "fox look". And I stand in front of the mirror and think: what a fox, I don't look like myself! The face doesn't move, the facial expressions have disappeared," the artist quips. After the concert at the "Ukraine" Palace, Olya understood: on stage she looked as if she was surprised by everyone in the world. Fortunately, the effect passed in a few weeks, and the singer herself calls that experiment "the worst in her life."

Iryna Bilyk

The people's artist never hid that she resorted to plastic surgery: in the 2000s, she did blepharoplasty and rhinoplasty. Iryna wanted to keep the "raisin" - a slight hump, but later regretted it: "It should have been cleaned completely, not half."

Kateryna Repyakhova

Viktor Pavlik's wife dreamed of a more elegant profile for a long time, and after a successful rhinoplasty, she also decided to correct her chin. At first, she tried lipofilling, but the fat "dissolved" quickly. Then Kateryna chose an implant — and that's where everything went wrong.

"I asked myself: how could a beautiful chin be so distorted? Why?" - the blogger wrote on Instagram. She does not hide: if she could turn back time, she would not do anything. Now Katya honestly warns her subscribers: any operation is a risk, and there are no guarantees that they will like the new appearance.

Anita Lutsenko

Even female athletes are not immune from medical errors. After giving birth, the popular trainer Anita Lutsenko had to remove the umbilical hernia and sew up the diastasis, but the doctor only made the situation worse. "The stomach remained mutilated. The biggest regret is that I believed the words: "I'll do it without a grid, everything will be perfect," says Anita.

Later, she found a specialist who corrected the consequences, but the negative experience strengthened the firm principle: check the doctor ten times before the operation.

Anastasia Pokhreshchuk

Blogger Anastasia Pokhreshchuk, who is recognized by the largest cheekbones in the world, generally became a symbol of how the desire to shock can lead to irreversible changes. Her giant cheekbones do not fit into the overall image, which makes the face look completely disproportionate.
