1. Overcame bulimia

In an interview with Veja magazine, Letticia Munniz says that, from the age of 10, her body began to change completely, and she, who was compared to the character Olívia Palito from the cartoon Popeye, due to her thinness, gained weight quickly.
Thus, she began to suffer malicious comments from family members, until she developed eating disorders, such as bulimia and excessive consumption of laxatives, in a desperate attempt to lose weight.
Until she came across a photo of American plus-size model Ashley Graham, which made her regain her self-esteem and accept that her body type “does not have a flat stomach and is full of curves”. “I decided to show other people that it is possible to be fat, healthy and beautiful,” she said in an interview with Veja.

2. Dream of being a presenter

During an appearance on the program Na Piscina, with Fê Paes Leme, from GNT, Letticia Munniz revealed that since she was a child she dreamed of being a presenter.
She revealed that she set up a whole set with dolls and shampoo bottles, which represented the audience, and performed for them. But she always ended up hearing from others that her body type would not be suitable for the profession, which was another reason that led her to develop eating disorders.
Still, she didn't give up on her dream and started specializing to get an opportunity in the field, having graduated in Radio and TV from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi. In addition, she has a technical TV Presenter course from SENAC/SP.

3. 10 years for the first “yes”

According to Letticia Munniz, she worked for 10 years until she received her first opportunity to fulfill her dream of becoming a presenter.
"It took me 10 years to get my first 'yes' because my body didn't fit. Not because I wasn't good, but because of my appearance", says the presenter in an interview with the CartaCapital website.
As a result, in 2020 and 2021, she presented the program Esquenta TNT, alongside Glória Groove, and soon after also presented the MTV interview program, No Estúdio com o Ex.

4. Success on Globo

After her initial experiences on TV, she did some tests on Rede Globo and ended up being chosen to be a stage assistant on Domingão do Huck. Thus, since 2022, she has made several advertising insertions in the program and has become a staple of open TV on Sunday afternoons.

5. You also want to be an actress

In addition to being a presenter, model, digital influencer and stage assistant, Letticia Munniz has also taken the risk of building her career as an actress, and has even participated in the series Borges, on the Porta dos Fundos channel, shown on Netflix.
According to Letticia, her intention is to consolidate her career as an actress and act in roles simply representing “people” and not “fat people”. To this end, for some time now, she has been taking several theater courses to improve her acting skills.

6. Activist

Letticia Munniz is an avid body positive activist and body acceptance advocate. On her social networks, for example, she tends to share several personal stories and encourages the inclusion of body types “outside socially accepted standards” in fashion and other areas.
"You are a non-standard woman, summer is or has been a sensitive topic for you. I know this because it was for me for many years. Until I decided that summer is the time to be happy, it didn't matter what body I had. I also deserved to be happy. Especially because the summer body is the body you have", she says in one of her Instagram stories.
