Fifteen years ago, the Ukrainian scene lost a true legend - Nicholas Bragolov. The composer, singer and People's Artist of Ukraine has left behind dozens of songs that have long become a classic, and his sincere voice still sounds in the memory of generations. But the success and popularity of little -known stories that reveal it as a person who always went their own way.

Youth and parental ban

Brain grew up in a family where music was heard every day. His father, Peter, had a wonderful voice and dreamed of the stage in his time. But when the son decided to go the same road, his father strongly opposed. To please Dad, Nicholas entered the Kharkiv Law Institute, but the call of the soul won: he left his studies and went to pass the exams in the variety and a quirky studio. It was there that his real creative trail began.

Education, love and wedding in the circus

Later, the brain entered the Kyiv Conservatory. There he met a woman who became not only his wife, but also a muse - Violett. To win her heart, Nicholas spent more than a year, but he finally reached his own. Their wedding took place in an atmosphere that fully corresponded to the artist's creative nature - in the circus. Violetta became his support in everything: she helped with the organization of concerts, was in difficult moments and gave him his daughter Elena, who continues his father's creative business today.

Principles on stage

Mykola Mozgovy was uncompromising when it comes to music. He never sang under the phonogram and openly criticized those who did it. He called his colleagues who went on stage without live performance. His performances have always been marked with sincerity and depth, because the artist believed that only a real voice could touch the heart of the listener.

Test and a new stage

In 1994, the brain was in a serious accident, after which his health swayed. However, even that did not break his spirit. On the contrary, he found the strength not only to continue to create, but also to take a great responsibility - headed the Palace "Ukraine", the main concert platform of the country. In this position, he supported young performers, helped Ukrainian artists to go to international scenes and defended the importance of Ukrainian song in the world.

A person who loved life

Outside the stage, the brain was surprisingly a lively man. He adored cooking, and, according to his daughter, acquaintances often waited for an invitation to their home to try his dishes. His morning began with fresh goat's milk and eggs, and before work he could stroll to the river to inspire nature. So he got strength for new songs.

Living inheritance

Mykola Mozgov's creative work cannot be overestimated. He is the author of such hits as "Land, My Native Land", "Ask the Hearts", "The Day passes", which are still heard from the stage today. The artist had the gift of writing music, which at the same time sounded both easy and deep. His songs were performed not only by himself but also by other stars, including Taisiya Povali, Sofia Rotaru and Pavel Zibrov.

Nicholas Mozgov lived a life filled with creativity, love and struggle for true music. His departure has become a great loss for Ukraine, but the memory of it is alive in every song that Ukrainians sing and listen to.
