He is known by millions: someone - for cheerful videos on Instagram, someone - for publicity after participation in the program "Detector of Lies", and someone - for theatrical performances, political activity or a loud dream to create a "Land of Dwarf". But before success, Yevgeny Stepanov has gone through a very difficult way. And now she is not afraid to talk about his past openly - in the hope that it will become someone's lesson.

A childhood that could break

Three years, six, nine vodka, fifteen injections. This story seems to end tragically. But Eugene managed to get out. In his youth, he played gambling, beat peers, deal with drugs. "Up to the age of 18, I tried everything but cocaine," the actor admits. And he adds: he is not ashamed, because he wants others not to repeat his mistakes.
At the same time, paradoxically, by the fifth grade, the photo of Yevgeny hung on a board of honor. He studied at a music school, played drums and even participated in theater performances with which he toured abroad.

The actor is against stereotypes

Dreaming of becoming a Ukrainian Jackie Chan, Yevgeny tried to join Karpenko-Kary University several times. Initially, because of a mom who was refused because "there is no specialty for people with disabilities." Subsequently, he was already a famous actor, but he was again rejected because of cards and stereotypes.
But Eugene did not give up and received his higher education. Although not without scandals. He was deducted from the University of Ukraine for a scandal with the wife of the rector in a drunken state. After that, Stepanov found himself at the Christian rehabilitation center. There, he said, he went through a rethinking, got rid of dependencies, returned to his native Cherry and joined the Theological Academy.

“God said to go to deputies”

And in 2015, Eugene became a deputy of the Cherry City Council. And again - not without God's sign. "It was not me, but God sent me," he says. Despite the modest election campaign, he went around 13 competitors, including lawyers, entrepreneurs, wealthy citizens.
For five years he worked with voters, assisted in the district, continued to shoot, perform and build a career of the actor.

Love story

He met his future wife by accident - on a date with friends. At first they were just familiar. Then Eugene prayed that she would confess to sympathy first. And she confessed. Although she was preparing for a wedding with another.
Today, Galina and Eugene are an example of a Christian family. Their couple is even officially fixed in the Record Book: 42.7 cm in height.

Life in Germany and return

After a full -scale invasion, the family went to Germany. Initially, for two weeks, and later remained for three years. They lived at the church where the believers helped.
But Eugene did not want to stay forever. He wanted to work only in a specialty. And then he dreamed of a dream-with the date "April 2025". Stepanov perceived it as a sign of the end of the war and returned to Ukraine.

Acting famine and “Dwarf Country”

Now Eugene again works with an animator with the small height colleagues. Performs at weddings, corporate events, birthdays. And it realizes the main idea - the creation of art space "The Land of Dwarfs".
It should be a park where little people and people with disabilities will work, and visitors will be able to see the fabulous life of dwarves and immerse themselves in the world of inclusion, sincerity and joy.
"I know who I was. But I know and whom I became," Eugene says. And this transformation is not a fiction. She is real as he himself.
