4 Major meat and chicken remember to happen now, and how they can make you sick

The FSIS warns that some articles could be contaminated by Listeria.


According to an eyes opening report published earlier this year by the Public Interest Research Group (Prig), 296 food reminders in 2024. The nearly 1,400 people with the food recalled can trace their illness at only 13 of these reminders, all except one involved Listeria, Salmonella or E. Coli.

On July 2, the USDA (FSIS) food security and inspection service recalled approximately 367 812 pounds fully cooked turkey produced by the Kraft Heinz Foods Company, based in Newberry, in South Carolina.

The bacon of turkey was produced from April 24, 2025 to June 11, 2025 and sent to stores nationwide. It could be contaminated by Listeria monocytogenes (LM) .

According to the Opinion of the FSIS , the recall includes the following products:

Also on July 2, the FSIS recalled The beef jerky strap products after the agency received reports of "transparent plastic pieces in beef stick products":

  • 6.9 oz. Bags containing six 1.15 oz. Vacuum sealed packages containing "Riverbend Ranch Original Beef Stick" with a "best date of 27/11/2026"
