For more than seven years, NABU has been dealing with the former head of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov, accusing him of inflicting losses for UAH 2 billion. In order to avoid real punishment, the scandalous official even voluntarily mobilized to the Armed Forces. What did this come out?

Who is Nasirov's novel?

From November 27, 2014 to September 2, 2015, Roman Nasirov held the position of People's Deputy of Ukraine, elected on the list of Petro Poroshenko Bloc Party. In the Verkhovna Rada, he headed a committee that dealt with tax and customs policy. In May 2015, Nasirov became the head of the State Fiscal Service. However, his work in this position caused numerous complaints due to abuse of office.

The event was the event on March 2, 2017, when NABU detained Nasirov in the framework of the case related to Ukrgasvydobuvannya. This actually put a point in his state career. He was suspected of abusing his office, which led to his dismissal.

Why did Nasirov hide under the blanket?

Roman Nasirov's detention was accompanied by a number of dramatic events. He was hospitalized at the State Hospital "Feofania" with a diagnosis - myocardial infarction. NABU detectives did not manage to get to the medical institution for a long time - they did not miss the next one on the watch.

In the end, Nasirov was detained and taken to court. However, because of his alleged health, the lawsuit has been delayed. Wide resonance in society was caused by the famous blankets, under which the former DFS head appeared in the courtroom. Unfortunately, the case has not yet been completed by the final court decision. Although Nasirov was taken into custody, the court allowed the release of UAH 100 million. Almost immediately this amount was made by his wife, after which Nasirov came into freedom.

Another loud corruption scandal

In October 2022, NABU was suspected by Roman Nasirov and businessman Oleg Bakhmatyuk in committing corruption crimes. According to the investigation, in 2015–2016, in the post of chairman of the State Fiscal Service, Nasirov received an undue benefit from the owner of the agroholding “Ukrlandfarming” for more than UAH 722 million. This case is considered one of the largest anti -corruption investigations in the history of Ukraine.

Mobilized just a few days before the sentence?

On April 9, 2025, it became known that Roman Nasirov, who was accused of receiving a bribe worth 722 million hryvnias, voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On this day, he did not appear at a hearing of the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court.

Nasirov's lawyer filed a request for suspension of criminal proceedings in connection with the mobilization of the client. According to the NGO Avtomaydan, Nasirov will serve in the engineering-saprium mouth of the 101st separate brigade of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, which is stationed in Kiev. In fact, it is the personal guard of the commander -in -chief of Syrsky.

Nasirov no longer goes to the Armed Forces

The news of Roman Nasirov's mobilization to the Armed Forces instantly caused widespread public resonance. The Military Service of Law Enforcement responded to the situation, reporting that the commander -in -chief of the Armed Forces Alexander Syrsky instructed to conduct an official investigation into the circumstances of Nasirov's conscription. As a result, the commander of the military unit, where the ex-deputy was to serve, declared the appropriate order illegal and canceled it. The court then extended the measure of restraint until June 10. Meanwhile, the limitation period in Nasirov's case is expired in April next year. In other words, as long as it is "mobilized", the time predicted to be held accountable continues to decline.
