Audrey was born in 2010 in Kentucky, United States, prematurely at eight months of gestation. He came to the world, facing several complications, such as a breath in the heart and sunken palate. His parents, Scott and Julie, went to several doctors until finally, two months after their birth, they detected Diamond-Blackfan anemia. With the diagnosis already clear, the family was able to start the treatments and follow their life. When the girl was between four and five, her parents decided to open a YouTube channel to entertain the girl, show her occurrences to friends and loved ones, and to disseminate information about her strange disease.

Syndrome

Diamond-Blackfan anemia or syndrome is an unusual blood disorder that affects the production of red blood cells in the bone marrow. It is estimated that just about seven people per million inhabitants worldwide suffer from it. Symptoms usually appear in childhood, before two years of age. The most common are: fatigue, paleness, lack of appetite and growth delay. There can also be deformities in the face, a small cranial structure, prominent lower jaw and separate eyes, which can be seen in the case of Audrey. This syndrome has no cure, only treatment that is based on regular blood transfusions and in some cases a bone marrow transplant can be considered. Those who suffer from this disorder must be regularly monitored by their doctors to prevent complications such as infections and heart problems.

On his dad's YouTube channel, Audrey captivated everyone with his innocence, joy and positive attitude. But the publications they liked most were those in which Zumba danced, an activity he did in his kindergarten.
