Al Roker reveals that he "almost died" during the recent health crisis
Today's host says he has the impression of having ruined a vacation for his family.

Initially, Roker asked for help for stomach pain, but the situation quickly turned into much more. "It was a medical mystery for a few weeks," said Roberts.
Roker explained: "I had two complicated things. I had blood clots which, according to them was. And finally they entered and did the operation."

"It is not a secret for anyone that I had a serious medical problem, and to be completely honest, I am almost dead," said the 69 -year -old man. He added that he "did not know it at the time", because his family did not share the full extent of what happened so that he could focus on his recovery.
He continued: "I missed Thanksgiving and I almost missed Christmas. And I forgot how important these moments of touchstone are."
The meteorologist explained that he felt a certain guilt at the time, because of his first hospitalization during the November holidays. "I felt, in a sense, bad because I ruined Thanksgiving for the family and I was not going to let it happen for Christmas," he said, adding that wanting to be at home with his Family at Christmas helped him recover. Roker also shared that Roberts knew he was going to go well when he woke up being under anesthesia and he immediately started talking about a recipe that he wanted to cook for Christmas.
