USPS suspends services in two states.
The postal service strives to operate operations as usual, with deliveries six days a week and open post offices during normal office hours. When these things are not possible, the agency makes sure to keep customers in the loop through its Service alert website . With this online tool, you can check "current information and often updated on the question of whether the mail is delivered in your neighborhood or your local post office is open," explains the USPS.

There is no information on the moment when these post offices will reopen.
Michigan and Rhode Island customers could face post office closings for a few days or considerably longer than that - there is not yet to say. The USPS has not provided any calendar when the facilities of Farwell, Lake or Chepahet will reopen to the public. But the agency has directed customers to alternative services locations that they can use during these closures.
For the two post offices of Michigan, the postal service indicates that "customer packages and mail of the P.O. box will be available at the Clare Post Office". This installation is approximately eight kilometers from the Farwell post office and 15 miles from the lake post office. Customers can also visit other nearby installations, such as the Lake George post office, the Rosebush post office, the Weidman post office or the Harrison post office, for retail services.
For the closure of the Rhode Island, customers are advised to obtain mail and retail services at the Harmony post office. This installation is approximately six minutes by car from the ChepaChet post office.
