Following these partnerships, the retailer was recognized for his work with veterans. In 2021, Lowe's had been named Amvets Friendly employer of the veterans of the year.
"As a business founded by a veteran of the Second World War, Lowe's serves as a model organization to know how to hire, train and keep those who served in our armed forces," said National Commander of Amvets Jan Brown said in a press release.

The retailer is now faced with the reaction on his military discount.

When the dishwasher sounded without the 10% military discount, he discovered that Lowe's had ended his military discount a year and a half earlier for certain items, including the main devices, according to the log.
"Bird Seed is on sale right now, and you are still getting your delivery," he said The Charlotte Observer .
But Newman was very upset that Lowe made this change without informing the members of the army, bringing the veteran and his wife to write a complaint with the CEO of the retailer, Marvin Ellison .
"It was embarrassing for us," wrote the couple in their letter. "Lowe's should inform all veterans before entering your store by placing 7 large panels; 3 outside your building and 4 inside showing all the items not covered in your store."
Better life contacted Lowe on the back of its military reduction policy, but has not yet heard.
Lowe's apologized for any drawbacks to customers.
Newman is not the only buyer to have encountered this problem in the Lowe store. In the Comment section For history on Yahoo, users have said they had similar experiences.
"I discovered that Lowe abandoned some of the military discounts in the same way as others; at the checkout," wrote a person.
Another commented: "I discovered that the discount did not work in the same way. I came to buy a set of kitchen household appliances. Then the military discount no longer applies to large ticket items. ""
In response to the Newman's letter, a company spokesperson said that the concerns were shared "with the appropriate services and will be taken into account when evaluating potential policy and procedural revisions", " The Charlotte Observer reported.

Politics have been limited for some time now.
Lowe spokesperson Candace Gordon said The Charlotte Observer "In March 2022, Lowe updated daily military upgrading to exclude certain product categories, including the main household appliances, wood and cable / electric wire."

According Lowe's current policy , the retailer offers a 10% daily military discount on most items at full prices. But there are now more limits than in the past.
