A Kroger in Peachtree City, in Georgia, probably had good intentions to recognize the month of black history with a display in store. According to WSB-TV, the grocery store presented Snoop Dogg's Red wine mixture , that he launched with the brand 19 crimes in 2020.

Besides the selection of wines, a blackboard said "Celebrating Black History month", with sentences such as "Dream Like Martin" and "Say It Loud i'm Black and I'm proud" writes inside and Around a tight fist.

"Proud to drink wine? No, we are proud of the aviators of Tuskegee on which I stand," Johnnie Jones , the former president of the County of Fayette NAACP and retired commercial and military pilot, told the point of sale. Jones said he had found the "offensive" display, a bit like his customer colleague Michael Drummond . "They really promote alcohol, then he said 19 crimes," Drummond told WSB-TV. "It's negative."

Customers said the store could have tackled the month of black history differently.

In response to complaints, the Peachtree City Kroger shot down the display, WSB-TV reported. Jones said that there are more appropriate ways to honor the black community, namely by presenting historical black figures.

While complaints led to the deletion of the screen, not everyone was as offensive. WSB-TV spoke with another Kroger buyer, Pam Lewis , who thought that there was nothing wrong with the display of Snoop Dogg - and he should not have been deleted.

"I mean, if you want to drink wine, whether it's black history or not, it shouldn't really make a difference," she said.

On the output Facebook page , others said that the situation was exaggerated. "It's not so serious. He's a black man with his own wine. What is the problem," reads a comment.

"I don't drink wine but how would it be offensive? [Snoop Dogg] isn't it part of the history of blacks?" Another Facebook user wrote, declaring that recently people "are looking for something to complain about".

They added: "It's exhausting. I don't like something? Go elsewhere, change the chain, get around an account, etc."

It was difficult for Kroger because some customers said they were overcharging in their local stores. On February 3, the user of Tiktok Hanna Daminski Published a video showing that she ordered an online salmon book for $ 8.99. Kroger's collection service, however, gave him six pounds of salmon and billed him $ 50 .

"Kroger's pick-up has decided to eat salmon for a month," she wrote on the video in the bunk text.

Commentators said they also encountered similar problems with Kroger. "They did the same thing to me! Twice in a row," said a user, while another wrote: "The same thing happened to me with chopped beef once. Commissioned two packages of 1 LB and found itself somehow with a 10 LB newspaper? "

A Kroger employee intervened and said there was a defect in the company's system. "I work in a Kroger pickup. There is one thing at the end [where] you can write how much you want," they wrote. "Until they correct this thing, what you ordered appears as an entire side of a salmon and a business expects you to know."
