Hobby Lobby under fire while buyers say they are overcharged

A former employee says that cashiers must manually seize prices and sales.

Hobby Lobby does not use bar codes, says a former employee.

In a Tiktok video published on January 28, the former Hobby Lobby employee Seth Workman , who uses the @arenclelle handle, explained that the retailer does not use bar codes on their products. Instead, employees penetrate manually.

A customer shared that bar codes would make them feel more confident during shopping at Hobby Lobby. "I want them just to use bar codes, so I know the prices are correct," said their comment.

Customers have also complained about the time you need to check.

In addition to price differences, Hobby Lobby customers drew attention to waiting times in the register.

"It takes an eternity in the register every time because of this," wrote a buyer. Another added: "That's why HL has so long lines all the time ... You just need to sound, the store is not even busy."
