To achieve his goal of losing about 20 pounds, Catarina Siqueira contacted, by a recommendation, Sintia Puttini, a medical specialist in anti-aging and weight loss. The actress wanted to reduce the mass she gained from pregnancy to expand job opportunities, among other reasons.

The doctor Sintia Puttini explained the process and her method in an interview with Magg. Initially, the professional said that a preliminary assessment was made, where the hormone levels and nutrition were analyzed to define a weight loss strategy. According to Puttini, in the case of Catarina, it was necessary to do a “treatment in which she saw soon results”, so that the artist did not become unmotivated and lose her focus.

"The goal that each one has is very important," said Sintia Puttini, who also mentioned that it was necessary to follow up from Catarina's routine and how it would be possible to fit a planned diet and focused on food reeducation.

Ketogenic diet

Catarina Siqueira had to do a ketogenic diet, that is, a protein -based diet to induce a state of ketosis. In it, many vegetables, animal proteins and protein supplements with low glucose were included. The doctor explained to Magg that the restriction is large, being the greatest difficulty for the patient.

“It is difficult to change a culture of coffee with milk, bread with butter, accompaniment, pasta and rice, a cookie snack,” says Sintia Puttini. “It's a routine that is already instilled in our society,” he continues.

According to the doctor, "support in fast foods and practices ignites the body and addictive and the more we eat, the more we want to eat." Thus, she believes that it is necessary to reduce the "sugar, vegetable oil and flour, on bread, pasta, cake, sweets", and choose "everything that nature offers".

During the diet, Catarina was able to make some meal replacements, such as shakes protein and bars without preservatives or additives. According to the doctor, these substitutions decrease the desire to eat foods that hinder weight loss. "Instead of eating a cake or candy, there is compensation here without spoiling at hormonal level and in the level of inflammation," he says.

Results

With the help of the ketogenic diet, meal planning and thinking change to reduce binge eating, Catarina Siqueira lost more than 20 pounds and showed her before and after on social networks. “Before believing what I saw in the mirror.
