Jay Leno reveals why he refused pain medication after being burned in a "horrible" accident
The actor has just given his first interviews on the injuries he suffered.
Last month, actor and Talkshow host Jay Leno I had a terrible accident by working on one of his cars, which led to second degree burns and two surgeries. But, to judge by the first interviews that the star gave on the frightening experience, he did not drop him. Talk to People and Today Leno explained how he caught fire, the treatments he received in the hospital and why he decided not to take pain medicines. Leno's accident occurred when he worked on a very old car.

"With a steam car, you have petrol, but you also have a vaporizer which is heated by a pilot light to transform water into steam," Leno explained at People . He had tried to unclog the fuel driving when he "had a face full of petrol". He added: "I knew how close I was in the pilot light and thought:" Uh oh. ""
He was right on the dangerous combination. Leno caught fire.
"I am not a panicked guy, but I knew that if I was breathing, I could burn my lungs," he continued. "I was under the car maybe 10 seconds before [friend] Dave Killackey withdrew me. Longer that I could have lost my eye. ""
Killackey said it was worse than Leno admitting it.
Talk to Today ,, Killackey said he had shot Leno Without under the car and pulled his face in his shirt to turn off the flames. "You couldn't even see his face. He's minimal. But I tell you he was really engulfed," recalls Killackey. "It was horrible. It was a frightening thing."
Killackey said he called 911, but Leno ended up going home to go and tell his wife Mavis Leno What was going on before going to the hospital. He had burned on his face, his hands, his chest, his neck and one of his arms.

Leno would not take pain drugs.
Leno suffered two skin transplant surgeries and spent eight hours a day in a hyperbaric room to treat his injuries. But, he refused the analgesics. The actor said People , "Pain is a reminder that I am an idiot!"
HODA KOTB , who interviewed Leno for Today , said to his colleagues anchors: "The guy said that he had not taken a single pain in pain. He said because he wanted to know when he improved."
When Tim Allen Appeared on The Tonight Show November 21, He gave an update on his friend . When he called Leno to verify it, Leno said: "I do not make pain relievers.
