How Doris Day may have saved his son from Charles Manson and his supporters

According to an account, Day brought his son out of a sadly famous house.


In the 1950s and 60s,Doris Day lived up to his career, with films such asCalamity Jane,,The man who knew too much, andPillow talk. But, at the end of the 1960s, Hollywood was a different place, something that Day learned from the first hand. Surprisingly, Day has a link withCharles Manson and the Manson family because of their son,Terry Melcher. Melcher was the only child of the day.

Day welcomed Melcher with his first husband,Al Jorden, in 1942. Melcher was then adopted by the third husband of the day,Martin Melcher, and took his last name.

Melcher was a musician and producer, who worked with the Byrds and the Beach Boys, among other musical acts. He died in 2004 at the age of 62, while Day survived his son, who died in 2019 at 97.

Melcher knew Manson.

However, people close to Melcher contradicted this story.

In 2013, musicianMark Lindsay, who had also lived at home with Melcher and Bergen, said thatManson knew that Melcher had moved Before the murders.
