A drug that Lukyanovsky says she will not take is tums, a popular antacide usedTreat stomach burns, stomach or indigestion. She says that it is because "they are full of unfavorable additives and artificial colors that produce allergic reactions on my skin", and adds that they can "cause stomach burns".

Instead, it uses a nutraceutical known as the Lictions Déblycyrrhizine (DGL), an anti-inflammatory herb sometimes used to soothe symptoms of stomach burns.

Nexium and Prilosec

Nexium and Prilosec belong to a class of drugs called proton pump inhibitors (PPI), which work to treat reflux symptoms by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach lining. Lukyanovsky cites a range of reasons to abstain from these particular products: not only do they "do not reach the deep cause" of the problem, but they also produce vitamin exhaustion and "need the correct weaning process to stop them ".

She adds that the researchers noted an "increase in stomach cancer associated with the prolonged use of PPI" - a risk which it considers to take it on possible advantages.

Laxatives based on magnesium

Lukyanovsky also jumps over certain over -the -counter laxatives, "like magnesia milk". She notes that like some othersOver -the -counter drugs, these often contain artificial colors and flavors. Instead, Lukyanovsky recommends trying "cleaner options with magnesium supplements", citing magnesium citrate as an example.

Experts fromHarvard Health Publishing Share their own warning concerninglaxatives based on magnesium. "Do not take more than the recommended quantities of these laxatives, or use them in the long term, as they can eliminate your chemistry," they write. They warn that people with underlying conditions may be at a particularly increased risk of side effects. "Combined with renal or underperforming renal insufficiency, saline osmotic laxatives can be dangerous," say their experts.
