From Brazil to New York
Born in 1979, Morena Baccarin grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Daughter of a Brazilian actress and a Venetian television journalist, Morena immigrated to New York with her family at the age of seven due to her father's work. She revealed in an interview that she had a very Brazilian side with regard to her food and her culture, but she is very American in the sense that she loves a feeling of "structure and predictability".
It was there that she frequented Fiorello the Guardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts and later, the theatrical program of Juilliard School, which is notoriously difficult to find. After graduating, she was thrown into "Way Off Broadway", a 2001 film directed by Dan Kay. She was also launched in the film "Perfume" with heavy strikers like Leslie Mann and Jeff Goldblum.
A role in "Firefly"
Playing the role of Inara Serra in the spatial drama "Firefly", Morena finally won her first major role. The show took place in the year 2517 and turned around a group of humans arriving in a new solar system after fighting in a civil war. He was canceled after a single season, but always had a cult, and Baccarin herself thought that the show had been canceled because he was ahead of his time.
Bad beauty in Stargate SG-1 season 10
Everywhere, science fiction fans were delighted when Morena Baccarin showed the cast of "Stargate SG-1" for her last season. She played Adria, Vala's daughter and the chief of an old evil extraterrestrial race known as Ari. She wreaks havoc with a religious crusade against the galaxy, and Morena admitted that she loved the role to play a bad role and wear cool contact lenses, even if she could not see.

Again, Morena Baccarin played an extraterrestrial in "V", a restart of the famous mini-series of 1983. Hiding her true reptilian nature under human skin, she uses her charisma to dominate planet Earth and her naive humans. Inspired by a range of political figures, it was an autonomous female role with real complexity behind it. Alas, it was canceled after only 22 episodes.
A difficult guard battle in real life
After TMZ pointed out that Baccarn had cheated on her husband with Ben McKenzie de l'O.C, who played her husband in the program Fox "Gotham". Although she is now married to McKenzie, it led to a bitter guard battle due to these events, with a long guard battle that follows on their son Julius. A defender of Venezuelan refugees
In 2019, this actress met Venezuelan refugees crossing a bridge in Colombia, where they were trying to access food and medical care. In Colombia, she worked with an emergency intervention clinic that provided resources and care to these refugees forced to flee their country. Her mother was a female rights activist in Brazil, and Baccarin followed her traces. She is a member of the IRC, or International Rescue Committee, which strives to improve urgent humanitarian crises.
A role in "The End Game" but it's just the beginning
With Elenora Federova as arms dealer and criminal in the drama of NBC "The End Game", it was an exciting role for Morena, who was impatiently awaiting a series focused on and written by women with two female tracks. Although it was canceled after a season, we can hope for a possible "Deadpool 3" - although it is not yet confirmed, it has its hopes, and we too!
