"Chemicals in the fabric softener can break down chemicals resistant to flames in clothing, leaving the carrier vulnerable to burns." Many of us have various jackets, coats and puffers. And when you clean them, you shouldn't use the fabric softener. "It would be counterproductive," says Dang. "The fabric softener can really reduce the water repulsion of the fabric over time." An absorbent raincoat is the opposite of efficiency.

Microfiber is one of our favorite materials for sportswear, training towels and cleaning towels. It easily absorbs moisture and easily imprisoned dust.
