Several seafood products were recalled this summer.
For seafood lovers, having fish for dinner is one of the simple pleasures of life. This can be ruined, however, if the seafood in question are not sure for consumption. In June, Irvington's seafood from Irvington, Alabama, firedSpecific gear products, which were labeled "Crabmeat: Jumbo, Bump, Finger and Claw Meat".
The recall was issued due topotential contamination byListeria monocytogenes, which can cause "serious and sometimes deadly infections in young children, fragiles or the elderly, as well as those with weakened immune systems". Listeria infection can also constitute specific threats to pregnant people in the form of miscarriage and mortincy.
Now another seafood product is recalled, which means you want to get rid of it immediately.

Harmful chemicals have been detected.
The clams were recalled after tests by the FDA, identified "detectable levels" of per- andpolyfluoroalkyle Substances (PFAS). These "chemicals manufactured by humans" are often used in consumer and industrial products, but they can have serious implications for health.
"The PFAs do not decompose easily and certain types have proven to be accumulated in the environment and in our body," said the reminder ad.
Consequently, previous studies have suggested that exposure to these chemicals can cause an increase in cholesterol levels, development effects, a decrease in the immune response, changes in liver function and certain cancers. In pregnant women, PFAs can also increase high blood pressure and lead to a blood condition called preeclampsia.
You will want to get rid of these clams if they are in your pantry.
Given the serious risks associated with exposure to PFAs, consumers are advised to throw affected products. But rest assured, your tuna is sure, because no other Bumble Bee product is currently subject to a reminder and no other clam product is affected, confirmed the company.
