A surprise closure has just occurred for a beloved chain, leaving buyers in darkness about what really happened. In May, the regional grocerMarket Farmers Sults announced that it would beclosing stores in California and Colorado on June 3. Although the grocer has not cited specific reasons for closings, he may have been encouraged by the increase in rents and competitive markets nearby as Whole Foods, as indicated byThe Mercury News.

ButWhole Foods is not immune to closures either, because Bloomberg reported that six of these grocery stores would beClosing in May. The supermarket chain belonging to Amazon closed its doors in Alabama, California, Massachusetts and Illinois, depending on the point of sale. And although these two retailers have given buyers a warning that they would no longer be in service, a store in Washington, D.C., did not do the same.

According to ABC 7news reports, a signwith a closing date of June 6 appeared in the Wawa which is next to the metro station of Columbia Heights. Some customers did not realize that the location was closed on June 6 until they draw locked doors, reported the point of sale.

Wawa has published a statement concerning the closure, but there could be more in history.

Wawa stores have a dedicated clientele, which makes the closure impromptu even more embarrassing. These stores sell items from general convenience stores, food for order and ready to take away, and often gas. Wawa published a declaration on recent closure, as reported by ABC 7news."After a meticulous assessment, our store at 1400 Irving St., NW, DC closed on Monday, June 6," said the channel. We appreciate the support of the community in recent years and hope to continue to serve them in other places or through our services as convenience, including catering and delivery. However, customers report that there were additional problems related to the neighborhood.

Customers said there were both violence and display flight incident.

Buyers and residents of the region spoke with ABC 7news of the store, which was previously linked to violent incidents. "I live a few houses of houses from here and unfortunately at any time, something could happen", "Terry Lynch, a nearby resident, said at the exit. "You do not know."

"The windows at this store were shot in January," he added. "Someone [outside] was shooting someone. I'm afraid that my wife and daughters come here, because everything could happen, unfortunately, at any time."

By using the Nextdoor application, Lynch published news from the fence, with others commenting on the apparent display flight. ABC 7news also spoke to the owner of the property where Wawa was,Chris Donatelli, who told the outlet that "they left because of problems in the neighborhood".

According to Donatelli, Wawa had a 15 -year -old lease on the property, but only occupied it for four. They will pay the rent for the next 11 years or until they find another tenant to resume the lease.
