The company remembers the crab packages because they have the potential to be contaminated by Listeria Monocytogenes. This organization can cause "serious and sometimes deadly infections" in young children, fragile people or the elderly, and others with weakened immune systems, according to the recall notice. In pregnant people, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and mortinagers.

Even people who are in good health could suffer from short -term symptoms of listeria infection, such as high fever, serious headaches, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.

The company recorded the contamination potential on May 27 after the FDA did tests on May 9. The tests revealed the presence of Listeria on the cooking equipment and in the cooking room.

No crab flesh has been tested, but the product could be infected as a result of cross -contamination. Consequently, the company decided to carry out the voluntary recall and suspended the production of the product while the company and the FDA continue to investigate the problem.

Fortunately, no disease has been reported so far in the context of this problem.
