These British royals will soon have to turn away from Meghan Markle

Here is a quick primer on "the order of priority" of the royal family ".

WhenMeghan murder andCatherine, Cambridge Duchess, ceasing unison to the queen on Christmas Day, the American actress has achieved high notes to master one of the most confusing aspects of royal life. Meghan and his sister-to-the-law at one leg behind the other and graciously folded at the knee at the same time - with Meghan adding a tilt defense of his head for good measure.

But according to the complicated rules of the royal and complicated protocol, after Meghan gets marriedPrince Harry, some high-ranking members of the family will have to turn away forher.

These rules are almost always followed when the family is on one occasion of the state or, as evidenced by the Baptism of Meghan by the fire, celebrating Christmas in Sandringham. The most stringent protocol dictates everyone must either fit on the queen. Then, according to the order of priority, the order of who bows from whom descends in the order of the sons of the queen (in order of birth, the oldest first), then his grandsons, his brothers , his uncles, his nephews, and finally, she cousins.

It's understood?

As in each family, there are exceptions for favorite grandsons. William, who is third online for the throne, would have prioritized the youngest sons of the Queen in recent years. (When was the last time we evenseenPrince Edward?)

The wives of the queen's sons are usually given higher rank than his daughters and granddaughters. But the Queen has updated the order of priority "on the principles of blood", in 2005, whenPrince Charles marriedCamilla, Cornwall Duchess, so his daughter,Princess Anne, would not need to tilt him when Charles was not present. Hmm.

However, this rule only applies when the woman's husband is present, otherwise the wives are hit on the list. These rules also determine how members of the aristocracy enter and leave a room during formal occasions. (If you wondered, no one leaves the queen and when she stops eating, the meal is over.)

Back to Meghan and Harry. When they are married and attend an event with the Queen, Prince Charles and the sister of Camilla and Charles Princesses Anne,Prince William the cousinsPrincesses Eugénie andBeatrice, Meghan would bealone For the Queen, Prince Charles and Camilla, while Anne, Eugenie and Beatrice would be cerneringto her. After all, when Harry is in the room with her, she assumes the rank of Harry. (Yes, it will be the first time a Royal British will have to turn away from the American, and I guess it will not continue all this.)

But if Harry was not present for any reason, Meghan should turn away to everyone, including "princesses of blood" as Eugenie, Beatrice and Anne.

While the rules dictate Meghan must always turn away for his future sister-in-law, Catherine, it is unlikely that this happens in private. For other women of the royal family, it will depend on the presence of their royal husband. Meghan should turn away forSophie, Countess de WessexOnly when Prince Edward is also in the room.
