There are many reasons why women wear makeup. As a popularity of makeup tutorials on YouTube, some consider like a true form of art, a way of experimenting with colors and shades on the blank canvas of their faces. Others put makeup to highlight their more attractive features, to better look at photos or feel more satisfied with themselves when you look in a mirror. And for others, like myself, makeup is part of a daily routine, whose meaning was almost lost entirely.

Anyway, there is certainly no reason to suppose that a woman sets up a makeup only for the improvement of his occasional chances of sex, but apparently, this should be precisely the hypothesis that we do.

In a new study published inPersonality and individual differencesThe researchers showed up 162 photographs of men and women of 69 young adult women with various levels of makeup and found that those who wore more makeup were perceived as more attractive and more sociosexual - the psychological term used to describe people who like to have sex with several partners.

When the 69 women themselves were interviewed about their sexual habits, the researchers found - no surprises here - there was about zero connection between their makeup habits and their sex life.

"Thus, our study shows that people use makeup as a tail to perceive society, but this is an invalid mark," reads the paper.

Now, I declare obvious here, but it is apparently repeated that women do not dress in the morning only in favor of the security of a man and that nothing on the appearance of a woman does not give you right of make assumptions about his desire for sex.

If a woman wears a sexy dress for a night with girls, it does not necessarily mean she's trying to get. If she gets a good haircut, she does not necessarily mean she's trying to get. If it wears a lot of makeup, it does not necessarily mean that it tries to put yourself.

Personally, I would put the sentence, "you are so better without makeup," on my list ofThe 17 worst things a man can tell a woman. It sounds like a compliment, but it's really a way of saying, "I like it when you do something that makes me feel as if you do not try to have sex from me."

Inevitably, it makes the woman feel like she was making up, a man will assume that it is for his advantage, as opposed to something she does for herself. It also feeds on dangerous mythology that makes women feel like asking makeup, they are somehow anti-feminists. This, of course, is totally ridiculous.
