If you are older than that, chances are you still prefer a good old vocal conversation.
Suppose you intend to meet some good friends and that you reach for your faithful smartphone to confirm your plans. Choose the call function or goRight for the text option? The way you answer this question most likely reveals your age, according to a new survey.
The investigation comes from Yugovuk, who asked people toReveal their preferred method of communication. It is probably not surprising that the more the age of the interviewee, the more likely they wereopt to send SMS. But the survey also revealed the exact age to which people prefer a good old conversation:55 years old and over.
In his investigation, Yugovuk asked the people where they stand on this statement: "I prefer to receive a text of a phone call. Fifty-five percent of all surveyed preferred a text on a phone call. But to break it by age, 72 percent of 18 to 39 years accepted, and 61 percent of 40 to 54 years favorite texts, too. But the 55-plus together? Well, they prefer to talk on the phone. Nearly half-49 percent-disagree with the above statement about preferring a text to a call.
The research notes that those who prefer the text are also more likely to blame their texts preference on "mental weaknesses" in areas such as social skills and the duration of concentration.
Texters are also more likely to say that they do not do it as confrontation, the results of the survey have shown.
