The dangerous trap of drinking drinks "lower alcohol"

You may be better to have a neat whiskey and leave it to that.

When choosing a lighter alcoholic drink, such as wine or beer, on difficult spirits, you tend to think of yourself like "easy taking" on the drink forehead. After all, 10 ounces of wine are not likely to make you work, but ten ounces of Tequila will probably be. The problem with this seemingly logical line of thinking is that when we drink a lighter drink, we let ourselves be allowed to consume more of these, which ends up becoming more drunk.

So tell meA new study By the Unit of Behavior and Health Research at the University of Cambridge in collaboration with the Addictive Behavi Research Center at the University of South London Bank and publishedin the newspaperPsychology of health. In an attempt to help British residents reduce alcohol, decision-makers have proposed legislation that would encourage the industry to release lower products in alcohol content. But what was Dr. Milica Vasiljevic from Cambridge University wondered, if you lower the alcohol content, has just encouraged people to drink more?

To find the answer to this question, she and her colleagues have asked 264 weekly drinkers to taste drinks tested in a laboratory that has been made to look like a bar. The drinkers were divided into three groups. The first group was invited to taste the tested drinks labeled "Super Bass" alcoholic content (4% for wine or 1% for beer). The second group had a selection of "low" drinks of alcoholic content (8% for wine and 3% for beer). The third group received wine and beer containing the standard amount of alcohol on the market (12% for wine and 4.2% for beer).

The results revealed that, on average, those who consumed alcohol in the "super low" group had 214 ml, while those who regularly drink wine and beer had only 177 ml. As such, the results indicate that when someone knows that their drink is lower from alcohol, they are more likely to compensate for the difference by simply drinking more.

"Labeling the strongest strength alcohol may seem like a good idea if it encourages people to switch drinks, but our study suggests that it may be encouraging people to drink more", "Professor Theresa Hammer, Senior Author and Director of the Health Research and Research Unit at the University of Cambridge, said in the university newsletter.

To a certain extent, we have all witnessed the results of this search in real life, when you compare the chic guy lauding a glass of whiskey for one hour at the bar at the bar that goes down eight beers and ends up spending on the Table, but it's worth it to be taken into account nevertheless.

Although previous searches indicated thatA moderate amount of drinking can be good for you, recent studies have also found that even to have justA glass per day can shorten your life.
