Will marijuana inflammate your libido?

A new study connects the pot with "a growing frequency of violence".

Unless it is for medical purposes, the smoking pot is not really something that society usually believes to be good for your health. But, according to a new study, it seems that it is pretty good to draw your sex life.

Researchers at Stanford University School of Medicineanalyzed data From 50,000 Americans between the 25 and 45 years - compiled from 2002 to 2015 by the National Family Growth Survey - and they found that those who smoke marijuana regularly have about 20% sex than those who do not do not do it.

To achieve this conclusion, researchers asked the investigation participants to what extent the heterosexual relationships they had over the last month and the amount of weeds they smoked over the past year. Women who smoked daily weeds had sex an average of 7.1 times a month, compared to the 6 times reported by women who did not smoke at all. Men who smoke daily weeds reported having sex averages 6.9 times a month, compared to 5.6 for those who did not do it.

Of course, the first thing you learn in class psychology is that the correlation isnot causality. It's not because marijuana users seem to have 20% sex more than non-smokers does not mean that grass necessarily reinforces their sex drive. People who take in a DOOBIE daily may be more fun and brighter, and therefore more likely to look for a good time in the bag. But the study found that the more smoked the subject, the more sex they reported, indicating that there could be a causal relationship between the two. Anyway, he certainly beats the myth that the weed will drop the sails.

"The use of frequent marijuana does not seem to affect motivation or sexual performance. If something, it is associated with a growing frequency of violence," said Dr.Michael Eisenberg,Assistant Urology Professor in Stanford and Senior Author of the Study.

(Pause for laughing as a 6 year old child at the end "frequency of violence".)

The study does not specify whether they accounted for differences between people in relationships and those who are single, as these in committed apparatus are probably more likely to have "a frequency of increased violence" than those who eat peanut butter and cheetos on the sofa-pot or no pot.

Anyway, it's good news for more than 20 million adult Americans who are currently current marijuana users, as well as the64% of Americans who believe that the drug should be legal.
