The photos of Austin Lewis and his puppy, Gatsby, are sure to put a smile on your face.
Austin Lewis is a 13-year-old child of Desoto, Texas, who was born withLeft Heart Syndrome Hypoplastic. In spite of his health, Austin is a happy young man, whose dream is to become a chef and whose favorite hobby looks at the kitchen shows on YouTube. And it was on a particular YouTube channel,Life after college, that he saw aCorgi named Gatsby And fell in love with him. All Austin wanted to have a puppy like him and when his wish has come true at the end of October, it was really magical (as you can see of thisVideo Heatwarming and the following photos).

While she was pregnant, Lewis discovered that Austin would have a left hypoplastic heart syndrome, a complex and rare congenital condition preventing the left side of her heart effectively pumping blood in her body.
"The doctor told me that he had a chance to live 50/50 to live and gave me the opportunity to abandon it or to end him and see how far he actually", has declared Lewis. "As you can see, 13 years later, he's still fighting."
Unfortunately, following multiple surgeries, Austin still has many serious health problems, including scoliosis and pulmonary and muscular diseases.
Due to some of these complications, he qualifies longer for a cardiac transplant. "He would not do it through surgery," said Lewis. "We pray miracles but, basically, we just wait for God to call his name."
However, the Lewis family chooses to focus on the positive and enjoy every minute, they are able to share together, including those with Gatsby.
As you can imagine, a week, Austin and Gatsby are virtually inseparable. "He loves it so much," Lewis said. "These are best friends."
