In May,Charlie Johnson, a nurse of Arkansas, married the love of his life,Kelsey Johnson, a construction coordinator. Like most couples on their wedding day, the news Mr. and Ms. Johnson were sure to have a photographer capturing all their special moments. "There are thousands of people going through that every day and I thought it would be so cool to let them know that it's part of the fight," Mandy added.
Needless to say, Photoshoot was a challenge for everyone. "I'm pretty sure I had all the emotions you could imagine during this photoshoot," Charlie said. "But I took deep breaths and I thought," That's it. This is what it is all about. Take control and take yours. "
It was not easy on Charlie's husband, but he did it for her. The photographer and his subjects felt it was important to capture the pain that was loved by theseBATTLING CANCER often suffer in silence.
"The images of Kelsey Crying represented the many caregivers of male care that are [supporting] their women in this terrible disease," said Mandy. "There are so many maritimes out there who have to look at the people they like to go through that and it's a helpless feeling. There are nothing they can do, beyond love and to worry about it. "
"My husband was amazing throughout the thing," said Charlie, noting Kelsey was "so strong to be able to do it. »
Given that Mandy shared the photos on his Facebook page on August 20, they received more than 14,000 likes with hundreds of comments from those who moved to tears by powerful brutal images.
"We thought the photos would cause a little ripple, but we did not know any idea to cause a wave," said Mandy.
