If you bought one of these vegetables, launch them now, says FDA

At least eight varieties of this type of product have been drawn from the market in the last two months.


You have probably heard about the weather and the same time doctors, nutritionists and even your parents: eating your vegetables is good for your health. And while the adage is, for the most part, true, you may want to make this opinion with a grain of salt for the moment, now that the American Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has announced several multiple reminders of a type of product. And eating one of the affected foods could do you seriously ill. Continue reading to find out if you should throw these products from your refrigerator now.

Multiple varieties of seafood mushrooms were recalled at the end of May and early June.

On June 1, the FDA announced that Sun Hong Foods, Inc. had recalled all 5.3 oz.Case of seafood mushrooms, printed with UPC number 6 953150 011881, due to potential contamination withListeria monocytogenes. On May 28, California Terra Garden, Inc. also recalled 5.3 oz. containerSeafood mushrooms from Guan, printed with UPC number 859267007501 and product code 3460, due to potential contamination with the same bacterium.

If you have one of the types of seafood fungi assigned to the home, the FDA recommends not to eat them, but returning to the store from which they were bought instead.

Several types of fungi of Enoki have also been recalled because oflisteria.

Since June 28, three varieties of fungi of Enoki have been recalled because of contamination withListeria monocytogenes, also.

June 28,Marketing Group Rainfield, Inc. recalled its packets of 150 grams of Printed Enoki mushrooms with number Cup 08541200402. On the same day,Marquis Worldwide Inc. Specialty recalled its packages of 200 grams of organic fungi of Enoki, identifiable by the words "Consah Organic Enoki Mushroom" printed at the front, andCONCORD FARMS recalled its 5.3 oz and 7 oz. Enoki mushroom containers, identifiable by UPC Number 0499995041049.

The fungi of Guan's Enoki had also beenrecalled on May 4th andApril 20th, 2021 because of the same potential contaminant. On April 22, Gold Medal Mushroom, Inc.pulled his fungi mushrooms from the market because of the potentiallisteria contamination.

If you bought these mushrooms, do not eat them, but rather go back to their place of purchase.

Exposure tolisteria May cause serious illness.

In March 2020, the disease control and prevention centers (CDC) announced aFood security alert For the fungi of H & C Food Inc., Guan's Field Co. and Sun Hong Foods due to potentialListeria monocytogenes contamination.

At the time of the alert, there were 36 reported cases oflisteria Infections in 17 states relating to the affected mushrooms, resulting in 31 hospitalizations and four deaths. The CDC reported that the special epidemic on June 9, 2020.
