This popular ingredient could put your health in danger, the authority says.


Spices are generally considered a tasty and healthy way to browse your favorite dishes without charging additional calories, sodium or sugar. However, if you use a popular spice right now, you may want to stop, because the United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA) is preparing for people to throw it immediately because of serious contamination concerns. . The FDA has announced a reminder on two types of coriander.

On June 4, 2021, the FDA announced thatTwo types of organic coriander had been recalled voluntarily.

The reminder affects 1.5 oz glass jars with rocking lids containing organic coriander of the organic coriander of Olde Thompson and solar harvest. The affected products can be identified by lot numbers 23632 and 23631.

The products have been sold in six states.

In total, 626 bottles of Olde Thompson Bio Bit de la coriander and 150 solar coriander bottles of the solar harvest are recalled.

The products were sold between May 26 and June 4, 2021 in Homeboods, the International Jungle Jungle Market and Arizona Intelligent and Final Stores, California, Georgia, New Jersey, Indiana and Ohio.

The spice can be contaminated bysalmonella.

During a "raw material routine sampling", Salmonella was discovered in some of the coriander products being boosted, the FDA reports.

Salmonella Can lead to salmonellosis, which frequently causes abdominal cramps, diarrhea and fever in healthy individuals otherwise. In rare cases, infection can cause arthritis, eye irritation, arterial infections, muscle pain, urinary tract problems and endocarditis, inflammation of the lining of the heart.

Although no disease or other unwanted coriander consumption events recalled has been reported on the reminder date, people who have purchased these products should not consume them.
